Barleywine Meeting

The annual WSB Barleywine Meeting is Saturday January 16th from Noon-6pm in Silverdale and is hosted by Mary and Vic. Please bring your homebrewed and commercial barleywines and a potluck dish to share. Don't forget your taster glass and bottled water. We will be collecting donations for the Clear Creek Trail Association. Barleywines are very strong beers, so please be responsible and careful and have a designated driver. More info is in the WSB Newsletter emailed out 1/3.

We had our club elections and congratulations to our new officers: Lou was voted President, Dave was voted Vice-President, Vic is Treasurer, Marti is Secretary and Ernie is Technical Support.

Our Third Annual Strangebrewary is Sunday February 21st in the afternoon and held west of Silverdale. We will be voting for Strangest Homebrew and Tastiest Homebrew.
Our first Wood Fest is Saturday March 19th from Noon-6pm at the Silver City Brewery and Taproom. We will be voting for Best Wood-Aged Homebrew. A brewer from Silver City will also be selecting a wood-aged beer of their choice to brew up on their pilot system and then be served in the Taproom.
We are still looking for a location for our annual Cask Fest in April. May 7th is Big Brew. June will be hosted by Jim and Nancy in Gamblewood. July is Beerstock 5060-7 in Orting, WA. August is hosted by Oggie and Wendy. September is hosted by Curt and Diane. Oktoberfest will be at the Silver City Brewery and Taproom. Will Tim and John host November and December again?

The club plans on participating at Beerstock 5060-7 in July-the exact date hasn't been set yet. Will send out a separate Newsletter when the info becomes available.
