May Meeting

The May WSB meeting will be Saturday May 25th at Mike and Ilene's place in Brownsville/Gilberton area. From 2-10pm on the back patio along the waterfront. Bring homebrews or spring/summer ales and lagers. There will be a grill available for cooking. More info is in the May Newsletter. The June Meeting is scheduled for Fri. June 21st at Darryl and Andrea's place near Poulsbo.

Big Brew!

Big Brew is Saturday May 4th starting at 9:30am at Marti and Ernie's place. The worldwide toast to homebrewing is at 10am. Looks like good weather to set up the brewing systems. You can use the recipes on the AHA site or brew your own style. Parking on the upper driveway will be for the brewers-more parking on the street. Bring homebrews, commercial beers and food to share, bottled water and taster glasses. Maybe some chairs. Details were in the last Newsletter.

April Meeting

The April WSB Meeting is scheduled for Friday April 19th starting at 4pm at Jack's house in Brownsville. Big Brew is Saturday May 4th starting at 9:30am. The Newsletter with the info will be sent out soon.

March WSB Meeting

The Next WSB meeting will be Thursday March 21st at Ernie and Marti's home starting at 6pm thru 10pm. Bring your homebrews, taster glass, bottled water and snacks to share. Fruit beers/ciders/meads will be the theme for commercial bottles. Details are in the last Newsletter.

Meet Brewmaster Don Spencer at Four Corners Tavern

Did you ever want to chat with the very first President of the West Sound Brewers? Brewmaster Don Spencer was the first President of the WSB and he will be at Skelley's Four Corners Tavern for Brewer's Night featuring Silver City Brewery. On Friday March 1st from 5-8pm. Four Corners Tavern is at 28071 State Highway 3 NE - at the intersection of Hwy 3 and Big Valley Road.

Saturday March 2nd is the Second Anniversary of American Brewing in Edmonds 1-11pm. Walking distance from the Edmonds ferry dock. Also check out Gallagher's Where U Brew in the same complex.

Monday March 11th at Latona Pub in Seattle will be a Sound Brewery Dinner and later in the evening is Brewer's Night with Sound Brewery. Latona Pub is what Latona IPA is named after.

Sunday March 17th is the Poulsbo Beer Run.

Barleywine Meeting

The February WSB Meeting will be our annual Barleywine Meeting hosted by Mary and Vic. It will be on Sunday the 17th from Noon-5pm in Silverdale. Location is listed in our February Newsletter. Please bring homebrew or commercial Barleywines, bottled water, taster glasses, food to share and a one dollar donation. A designated driver is recommended. These beers are strong-please be careful.

2013 National Homebrew Conference

Registration starts February 5th to attend the 2013 National Homebrew Conference in Philadelphia. The events sells out fast. Must be a member of AHA. Registration to enter the Homebrew Competition of NHC starts February 26th.

West Sound Brewers Officers

At the December meeting we elected our new club officers. President is Corey, Vice-President is Warner, Treasurer is Vic and Co-Secretaries are Marti and Morgan. Our February Meeting will be our annual Barleywine Meeting hosted by Mary and Vic. Will take place on Sunday, February 17th in Silverdale. Details will be in the next Newsletter.

Welcome to West Sound Brewers

We are a homebrew club in Kitsap County, Washington, with members from Kingston, Poulsbo, Silverdale, Bremerton, Port Orchard and greater Kitsap County. We meet monthly, typically at members' homes on a voluntary basis. Some meetings are held at neutral locations and we have several special events throughout the year (Such as Big Brew, Learn to Homebrew Day, our annual Barleywine Meeting and more).
